Lets rewind to late 2021. We had been on the road for nearly a year and were well and truly living our best life. Waking up and making our morning coffee with a new view everyday, swimming at every waterhole we found, getting unbogged on the beach only to get bogged again and plenty of boardgames (monopoly deal was our go-to) and beers with new friends by a campfire.
But one thing stood out, the camp chairs that everyone would pull out around the fire were dull and lacked character. We didn't mind the chairs we took, they were gray and boring but did the job. We also took a nice rug and loved the way it looked around our camp, but Keenan was sick of having to pull out the bindis and cat-eyes every time we used it. If only there was a camp chair that look as good as our rug did!
We continued our trip for another couple of months, speaking to other campers and people about what their perfect camp chair was. We knew that durability and functionality in a camp chair was the most important thing, after all it was something that was used everyday no matter the weather or location. Comfort was a big one as the camp chair was the closest you could get to that nice leather couch back at home. Having a spot for you drink also ranked pretty high up there for obvious reasons. We discovered that there was no perfect chair out there and probably never would be, but we though we would give it a crack anyway and try our best to combine all the things people loved into one camp chair but also make them look just as good too. The idea was born.
Fast forward a couple of years to 2025 and writing this blog after unpacking a full 40ft container of our very own camping chairs, we reckon we have done a pretty good job and are so excited to share with everyone our TIGGS & CO camping chairs.
